Mr. Tinsman received his B.S. in Business Administration in 1989, from Lincoln University and his J.D. in 1992, from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was an associate at Smith, Montgomery and Associates from 2000 to 2011. He became Of Counsel with The Courtney Law firm in 2011, which was later merged with Douglas, Haun & Heidemann, P.C. in Springfield, Missouri. He opened Debtor Doctors of Missouri in 2022 at its current location at 3337 E. Ridgeview St., Springfield, MO 65804. His practice is focused on consumer and small business bankruptcy under chapter 7 and 13. He has practiced in this area for over twenty-five years primarily representing consumer debtors in over 3000 cases. Mr. Tinsman considers bankruptcy practice a “Jubilee Practice” because the forgiveness of debtors is based on the Old Testament law of Jubilee found in Leviticus Chapter 25.
Mr. Tinsman volunteers as a church leader and minister for Community of Christ. He holds a MAR from Graceland University. He enjoys Lego models, hiking, travel, and Star Trek.
